    Izzit.org is happy to offer teachers one free educational video per year, no strings attached. The company specializes in videos for older students, but teachers and homeschoolers of grades K-12 can apply.
  8. Speed Stacks
    What are Speed Stacks, you ask? Essentially it’s a game where kids stack 12 cups in various formations as quickly as they can to improve hand-eye coordination and ambidexterity. If it’s something you’d like to try at your school, teachers can request a complimentary set. However, there’s a limit of one per organization.
  9. Curious Chef
    Curious Chef offers a 30% discount for purchases of $300 or more by teachers with an Educator Account. Restrictions apply.

    Barnes & Noble offers educators a year-round 20% discount on qualifying purchases through the Barnes & Noble Educator program. Enrollment is available at all Barnes & Noble and Bookstar retail stores. This discount is ramped up to 25% during Educator Appreciation Days.
  1. Half Price Books
    Sign up for a Half Price Books' Educator's Discount Card and be rewarded with discounts of 10-percent year-round. This discount is truly all-inclusive, available to teachers, homeschoolers, librarians and even teachers who have been laid-off in the last year.
  2. PBS
    Educators who sign up for the PBS LearningMedia program will receive free access to tens of thousands of videos, games, lesson plans and other educational materials for the classroom.
  3. MagMall
    Teachers will receive special pricing on magazine subscriptions ordered through MagMall. Before placing your order, call or email their customer service with the name of your school and your position to see what kind of discounts are available.
  4. The New York Times
    Keep your students up-to-date on current events with The New York Times’ special rate for educators. The first four weeks will cost you just $0.99, and every week after will be discounted by 50 percent.
  5. The Wall Street Journal
    The special educator's rate from The Wall Street Journal is mostly targeted to college professors and those with older students. Still, it's hard to beat the savings of the discounted subscriptions.
  6. National Geographic
    Teachers can receive numerous benefits from the famous publication including half-price copies of past issues and a $12/year subscription rate.
  7. Churchill's Photography
    Teachers are lovers, too, and just as most lovers do, they strive to get married. They especially strive to save money doing so. Teachers in Florida will receive 15-percent off wedding packages from the Palm Beach studio Churchill's Photography. All other photo services earn a 10-percent discount.

  5. Eddie Bauer
    Provide verification of your status as a teacher and Eddie Bauer stores will give you 10% off your purchase.
  6. Talbots
    Update your wardrobe before the next school year starts with the 15% off discount from Talbots. It can be used for any full-price, in-store purchases with a valid ID.

ELECTRONICS & SOFTWARE

  1. Apple Store
    The House of Jobs is surprisingly generous to teachers of all grade levels, offering varying discounts up to $200 on computers and accessories through the Apple Education Store. This offer also includes librarians, homeschoolers, university profs and even elected officers to PTA boards.
  2. Bose
    The Bose offer is primo, particularly for those in need of sonic stimulation. Save up to 15% on most music systems and accessories. Call their Sales Solution Team at 1-800-353-4207 and ask for the “Educator's Program” for pricing and to place an order.
  3. Dell
    If your school is affiliated with Dell you can get special pricing on your purchase of a computer or other products. Call Customer Service before paying to apply the discount.
  4. Cell Phone Companies (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint)
    This discount varies by provider, but teachers can save loads on a personal cell phone bill, sometimes up to 20 percent a month. Visit your provider's business or discount portal and input your .edu email address to check if your institution is registered.
  5. Adobe
    Shop direct from the Adobe Education Store and receive discounts on select software, including bundles and suites. Adobe requires proof of employment as an educator before applying the discount.
  6. Western Digital (WD) Store
    Offering digital storage, sharing and protection products, WD store helps you stay organized and protected in the modern age of teaching. They also provide a 20-percent discount to teachers and education staff through the WD Education Store. Create a free account using your school or university address to get started.
  7. Lenovo
    Through Lenovo’s Academic Purchase Program, teachers may receive a discount on their purchase. Select your state and school for a list of deals on tablets, computers, and laptops.
  8. Sony
    Register for the Sony Education Store and save up to 10 percent on select products. If you’re shopping on behalf of your school, head to the Sony Business Store for more appropriate deals.
  9. Academic Superstore
    Academic Superstore is an online software outlet that sells a slew of products for up to 85-percent off. Discounts are available year-round with proof of employment as a teacher.
  10. JourneyEd
    This is yet another site where educators can find huge savings on popular software. After placing your order, confirm your status as a teacher to apply the discount.

INSURANCE

  1. Farmers Insurance
    Farmers extends additional discounts to teachers, but these special rates vary based on state and prior driving record. For more details, contact a local agent. Farmers also offers free resources for the classroom, including lesson plans and educational documentaries.
  2. Liberty Mutual
    Liberty Mutual extends extra benefits such as a $0 deductible for damage that occurs on school property or during school-related events. Because it’s insurance, rates are dependent on your state and driving record

  1. Abbe Museum in Maine
    Teachers and school librarians with a valid school ID for grades K-12 receive 10-percent off books from the gift shop at this museum dedicated to Wabanaki Native Americans. They will also complete orders over the phone or email if you cannot travel to the Museum.
  2. Art Institute of Chicago
    Teachers at any level are entitled to free admission with a valid school ID. To get a free pass you must first visit the Crown Educator Resource Center and sign up for the Educator Network.
  3. Boston Children's Museum
    Despite the name, the Boston Children's Museum isn't just for kiddos. Active New England teachers K-8 can go for free with a valid school ID, available year-round. The museum is at 308 Congress St., just across from the Children's Wharf Park.
  4. Carnegie Science Center
    The popular Pittsburgh museum offers teachers free general admission once a year. Preschool-12th-grade educators from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York and Maryland are eligible.
  5. The Field Museum of Chicago 
    Educators need only present a valid school ID for free admission at The Field Museum in Chicago, dedicated to all things historic and otherwise dug up. The museum is located at 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, only steps from Lake Michigan.
  6. Florida Aquarium
    All Florida teachers receive one free ticket with proof of employment, including a current payroll code and pay stub. The aquarium is at 701 Channelside Drive in the Channel District of Tampa Bay.
  7. Colonial Williamsburg
    Take a trip back in time and discover Colonial Williamsburg with the discounted rates on general admission tickets. This offer can only be redeemed at a walk-up ticket window.
  8. Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum in Missouri
    Teachers enjoy a free visit at the birthplace of Missouri's wittiest state treasure when visiting with a school group. Bus drivers even get a free pass, but students and chaperones must pay a $5 or $8 admission fee, respectively.
  9. Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
    Massachusetts Teachers Association members can celebrate Boston’s favorite female patron of the arts for half-off regular admission, or enjoy buy one, get one free pair of tickets. Faculty of participating universities in the University Membership Program enjoy complimentary museum admission.
  10. Museum of Science, Boston
    Teachers of grades K-12 can register for the free Teacher Partner Program at the Museum of Science to receive a slew of exclusive benefits, including free individual exhibit passes, discounted annual memberships, and 10-percent off at the Museum Store.
  11. New England Aquarium
    Current K-12 teachers enjoy free admission, discounted IMAX admission, 10% off purchases at the gift shop and a 10% discount at the Harbor View Cafe when they join the Teacher Pass Program with a valid school ID. The aquarium is at 1 Central Wharf in Boston.
  12. Orlando Museum of Art
    In addition to a discounted annual pass for Florida educators, teachers get free admission for docent-guided school learning trips to the museum. College professors also get free admission for college tours. The museum is at 2416 N. Mills Ave. in Orlando, near Lake Estelle.
  13. John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art
    Present a valid school ID at the box office to snag a discounted day pass ($10) at the estate-turned-gallery in Sarasota, FL. The museum, named for John Ringling of Ringling Bros. circus fame, is located at 5401 Bay Shore Road.
  14. Science Museum of Minnesota 
    Minnesota teachers can apply for a $60 annual household membership, $35 off the normal price and good for all family members. Present a valid school ID and current pay stub at the box office when purchasing. The museum is at 120 W. Kellogg Blvd. in St. Paul.
  15. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago
    Teachers in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin are eligible for one free general admission ticket with a valid school ID. Register online in advance to receive your pass. Educators outside these four states can receive $3 off their admission by presenting a valid school ID or current paystub to the cashier. The aquarium is at 1200 S. Lake Shore Drive in the same complex at The Field Museum.
  16. Denver Art Museum
    Teachers save $10 on an individual membership good for free admission for one year. The teacher discount is only available when a valid teacher ID is shown at the museum welcome desk and cannot be ordered online or over the phone.
  17. Milwaukee Public Museum
    Sign up for the MPM Educator Pass to receive unlimited free museum visits, discounted rates on parking, and discounts on purchases at the MPM cafe and Museum Marketplace.
  18. The Perot Museum
    The Dallas-area museum offers pre-K through 12th-grade teachers from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and even Mexico free general exhibit admission with proof of teaching status.
  19. The Tech Museum in California
    All California teachers are eligible for the discounted Teacher Membership. It’s only $20 and includes benefits like discounted tickets for guests and 10-percent off in Museum stores and restaurants. The home of numerous Silicon Valley-inspired exhibits is at 201 S Market St. in San Jose.

  2. National CPR Association
    National CPR Association offers a 50% discount on all courses to Florida teachers, principals, and faculty. Use the coupon code FDEDISCOUNT to receive this discount.
  3. American Academy of CPR
    The American Academy of CPR and First Aid is offering a teacher discount for online CPR courses. With promo code SAVEALIFE, rates go down to $12.99 for the class.
